Dr. Chris Lakhiani

Restoring Function. Relieving Pain.
Rebuilding Lives.

Precision, Compassion,
and Specialized Expertise

Dr. Chris Lakhiani, MD, FACS

Dr. Chris Lakhiani is a board-certified plastic surgeon and Chief of Plastic Surgery at Jersey Shore University Medical Center who specializes in peripheral nerve surgery, microsurgery, lower extremity reconstruction, amputation care, and complex reconstructive procedures.

Fellowship-trained at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan — widely regarded as the premier microsurgery fellowship in the world — Dr. Lakhiani brings a rare combination of technical precision and genuine compassion to every patient encounter. His practice is built on the belief that patients with complex nerve problems, chronic pelvic pain, facial paralysis, and limb-threatening conditions deserve a surgeon who not only understands their condition deeply but takes the time to listen.

Dr. Lakhiani treats conditions that many other surgeons may not — from pudendal nerve entrapment and piriformis syndrome to facial reanimation, lower extremity nerve decompressions, free tissue transfer for limb salvage, and targeted muscle reinnervation for amputees. Patients travel from around the country seeking his specialized expertise.
